Research

What we do

Three lines of work, each backed by published papers or a funded project. Open a card for the evidence.

Published

AI cell image analysis

Counting, segmenting and tracking single cells from microscope images with deep learning models.

Published twice in Intelligent Systems with Applications (2023 and 2024), from RNAi screening of Orientia tsutsugamushi. Images from other institutions can be analysed now, without waiting for the laboratory.

Published

Single-cell FOXM1 sensor and cholangiocarcinoma biology

Measuring how a cell-cycle protein rises and falls in single cells over time, with a tunable fluorescent sensor.

Journal of Cell Science and Cell Proliferation (2025). Cholangiocarcinoma work runs from 2013 to 2025 in Tumor Biology, Journal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, Hepatology and Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy.

In progress

Computational prediction of molecular binding

Molecular docking and virtual screening of Thai herbal compounds against human target proteins.

THP-Target3D, a funded project run with the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. AlphaFold predicts protein structures, molecular docking finds the binding, and machine learning ranks the results.

Team

Our team

We are a small team that researches and teaches. Student researchers work on the lab's current projects with the principal investigator, learning cell image analysis, computational prediction and cell biology by doing the work.
